Our Guide to Shopping for the Best CBD Oil

Since the legalization of the production and sale of CBD products, the market has been saturated with anything and everything CBD. While having a myriad of choices for health and wellness products is usually a fun thing, when it comes to buying the right CBD- the choices can be quite overwhelming.

There is an astonishingly large amount of poor quality CBD on the market today, that’s due to a lack of regulation and imported products. Additionally, labeling of these products are often inconsistent and unclear, making it confusing for the customer.

In order to make the CBD purchasing decision a little more clear, the team at Rosebud has put together the four most important questions to ask when shopping for CBD oil- and we’ve broken down how Rosebud CBD oil compares.

Q: “Where is the hemp extract sourced from?”

When you’re shopping for CBD products, it’s important to be very discerning about where and how the company’s hemp is grown. With such a large influx in the cannabidiol industry, CBD products on the market today are often sourced from outside the U.S., or from biomass facilities that do not offer high-quality hemp.

Additionally, many companies have been selling CBD oil labeled as “hemp oil” to avoid legal troubles. A quick Google search will turn up hundreds of products, with very few companies actually revealing the cannabinoid content of their hemp oil.

With dishonest labeling and improper lab testing, customers often have no real idea what they are putting into their bodies.

When you choose Rosebud CBD oil, you can be confident that your health is in good hands.

Rosebud CBD is made from CBD-rich hemp flowers, grown on U.S. soil, under the bright Oregon sun.

Did you know that Oregon has some of the strictest CBD regulations in the country? It’s one of the reasons why we specifically chose to work with an Oregon farm!

In Oregon, CBD products sold in licensed cannabis stores are required to pass state-mandated lab tests, to assure purity and potency. As a customer, you can be confident that what is listed on the Rosebud label directly reflects the product that is inside the bottle. We choose to abide by Oregon standards to ensure the highest quality and transparency for our customers.

We proudly maintain this standard with every single bottle of CBD oil we sell.

Q: “Is the CBD oil a full spectrum, broad or wide spectrum, or isolate?”

Rosebud is a full spectrum, food grade CO2 extract. Our full spectrum oil is multi-use and safe to consume by mouth or use topically on skin. Full spectrum refers to a vibrant and diverse cannabinoid profile, meaning it preserves all of the therapeutic cannabinoids found in hemp.

In a 2015 study, researchers found that, in comparison to CBD isolate, full spectrum CBD offers higher levels of relief.

We believe that our customers should have access to whole plant medicine rather than an isolate, which is just the singular extracted compound. When shopping for the best CBD oil, for best results always make sure that your CBD oil is full spectrum.

Q: “What other ingredients are in the CBD oil?”

Every CBD product should include a clear ingredient list and/or a food lab test result.

Rosebud CBD oil contains NO additives, flavorings, sweeteners or preservatives. Our product is comprised of only two ingredients: CO2 extracted hemp oil and fractionated coconut oil, also known as MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil. It is pesticide, herbicide and solvent free.

Cannabinoids are fat soluble, and are most effective when consumed with fat. Coconut oil contains saturated fat which helps the body absorb the cannabinoid. Using MCT oil allows for a relatively rapid release of cannabinoids compared to other oils.

MCT oil is also directly metabolized into energy allowing your body to burn those fats and put the cannabinoids they hold to use right away.

Q: “Is it third-party lab tested?”

Operating in an unregulated market makes way for just about anyone to launch a CBD company, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the product is of quality or contains what the packaging states. Always look for a third-party lab test and individual batch reports.

Here at Rosebud, we push our organically sun-grown hemp through a randomized, controlled study- testing 32 or more units of each formula. In addition, our farm tests every batch of organically sun-grown hemp, to ensure that the formula is consistent. This guarantees that the farm’s extraction process (which adheres to Oregon’s strict regulations) produces the same quality of hemp extract every single time. Testing for mold, pesticides and solvents, it also verifies that the actual hemp extract itself is a clean, safe product.

To ensure peace of mind when shopping for CBD products, we take it a step further by providing our own third-party lab tests.

At Rosebud, we firmly believe our customers deserve full transparency and peace of mind. Arm yourself with knowledge of exactly what you are buying, and using, by accessing our third-party testing results.

Rosebud is a real brand for real people. We are fueled by a genuine connection with our customers and a passion for the plant. Every product we formulate is something that we’ve personally tested, and wholeheartedly stand by.

There are contradicting laws at both the federal and state levels, regarding the legality of CBD products. For peace of mind, check out your State Medical Marijuana Laws

  1. The smell & taste of cannabis makes me very nauseous. First time usage had me throwing up. I then learned to take with a meal. I bought flavored CBD then & that helped. Do you have “sample” full spectrum btls. you sell for those who want to first TRY your product?

    1. Hey Carolyn

Thanks for asking! Rosebud CBD is a full spectrum oil made from the hemp plant. Our oil is not flavored and does taste like the plant. Our formula is comprised of only two ingredients, hemp extract and certified organic MCT oil. This allows our customers to add to just about anything from drinks, meals, snacks, and more. At this time we do not have samples.

  2. You do not state what your oil is helpful for, as so many other sites do. I have terrible anxiety and insomnia. Will your product help me? Thanks, Lynn

    1. Hi Lynn!

It’s a fine line of helping our customers know what CBD may help due to the FDA. CBD may help with anxiety, inflammation, chronic pain and insomnia. I recommend trying the 700mg or 1000mg. We have had several customers report feedback for those aliments with those two strengths. Hope this helps!
