How To Use Rosebud Salve This Summer

You’ll want to stock up on some Rosebud salve this summer for a number of reasons, most importantly because we’re having a sweet, sweet summer sale.

A quick little recap on both of our salves before we dive into the best ways to use them—let’s first get familiar with Nourish, and Soothe.

We collaborated with our friends over at Lauren’s All Purpose Salve, and formulated Nourish and Soothe with Rosebud’s full spectrum CBD oil, making its effect on the skin that much sweeter. Both have a whipped, fluffy texture, with a light and airy coconut scent, and an ever so slight shimmer—let’s not forget that dewy skin is having a moment.

They’re each made in small batches with all natural ingredients, including shea butter, coconut oil, organic hemp seed oil, full spectrum hemp extract, jojoba oil, almond oil, essential oils of lavender, peppermint and patchouli, and organic infused burdock root. Basically, all the good stuff.

The key difference between them is the dose. Nourish is a great place to start targeting topical inflammation with 100mg of CBD, and her sister salve, Soothe has 350mg to help target some of those harder to reach areas like below the surface inflammation, aches, sore muscles, joint discomfort and pain.

Okay, now onto the fun part—here’s the scoop on how to use our salve this summer.

It’s summer, we’re running, we’re biking, we’re staying active, and most importantly—we’re sweating. With a good summer sweat comes some inevitable chafing. We’re all familiar with that underarm and inner thigh discomfort, it’s the worst.

Once it starts, we know it’s time to cue up some salve. A little goes a long way—apply a dollop or a dime size amount to the irritated area once or twice a day to help soothe your skin.

‘Tis the season!

RB’s salve is made to heal sunburned or dry skin—it even helps with peeling, too. Our salve heals burned skin, and replenishes moisture to speed along the healing process. The same goes for other types of burns, from ovens, stoves, and other hot surfaces.

Bug Bites

There is nothing worse than constantly scratching at bites. The mosquitos are out in full force this year, and our salve is here for back up.

Nourish and Soothe can help stop the scratching, alleviate your bites, and help them heal a little faster.

Eczema Relief

Summer is the season where eczema usually flares up.

Applying a dollop size amount of salve can help stop the spread, alleviate itching, pain and discomfort, and help your skin heal even faster.

Hair Mask

If you’ve been lucky enough to spend some time in the ocean, lakes, or even pools this summer, then you also know the importance of replenishing your hair’s moisture!

We recommend rubbing a dime size amount into dry hair, and leaving it in for 20-30 minutes, or even better, overnight. Great for setting curls, our salve also moonlights as a pomade that will help your hair hold its shape, without all the gel.

Cuticle Cream

At a time when nail salons are closed and so many of us are grooming and primping at home, having something in the medicine cabinet for cuticle care is vital. Salve is great for smoothing the skin on our fingers, hands, toes, and it also does wonders for the heels!

This time of the year calls for more grooming and maintenance than usual—think bikini lines, under arms, legs, the whole gamut. Nourish and Soothe can help prevent ingrown hairs, and alleviate razor burn, bumps, and redness.

Organic Lube

Last but not least.. need we say more? 😉

Catch the highlights on using CBD as lube here.

RB’s salve is multipurpose, and because it’s made with all natural ingredients, it can be used pretty much anywhere on the body. Hands, lips, heels, legs, brows—you name it. These are just a few of our favorite ways to use it during the hot and steamy summer months, but really, the possibilities are endless.

It’s with a heavy heart that this will be our last summer with Rosebud salve. Effective August 1st, we’ll be discontinuing Nourish and Soothe. We’re so grateful to Lauren’s All Purpose for being an amazing partner on this product collab, and we’re definitely bummed to say goodbye to it, but it’s time to branch out and see what else we can offer our community.
That said, we’re taking 25% when you stock up on 3+ or more of our Nourish and Soothe salves. Grab em’ while they’re hot.
